Ziggy Stardust, a 2000 gelding, is the Messenich family’s first rescue. Ziggy was at the breeder where the family’s first Grand Prix Show Jumper was bred. Ziggy was standing with an injury on his hind limb and under weight, as the family was purchasing more of their Grand Prix mare, Deneige family members, Paul said we won’t buy any of these horse without Ziggy. The owner said, “Take him, he’s worthless”. Ziggy came home and grew into a beautiful boy that was every bit as talented as his sister, Deneige.

Later in life, Ziggy’s crooked legs became a challenge for him to be in a program and he was retired and later became a cherished therapy partner at Zuma’s.

Ziggy loves to go for walks and could use a rehabilitation sponsor to help with his joint therapies.
