Peanut
A 2010 Welsh-cross mare that somehow landed in Zuma’s rescue operation of 52 Icelandic Horses from Washington State, Peanut was originally adopted by a friend and later surrendered to Zuma’s.
After rehabilitation, training, and entering the equine education program, we discovered that Peanut was uncomfortable. X-rays determined that she had malformed stifle joint, rendering her Sanctuary Status.
Peanut is a spunky little mare that can lend great to the therapy program when an individual needs to learn boundaries, as Peanut has none.
Peanut is looking for a friend and sponsor that will take her for walks, groom her, and blanket her when the weather is bad. Sponsorship is the only way Zuma’s can provide forever homes to so many Sanctuary Status horses.
