Shelby is a 2003 Curly Draft cross mare that came to us after being rescued from a kill lot.

This beautiful palomino was an immediate fan-favorite, how often do you see a curly horse?!

After a bit of trial-and-error learning her metabolism and nutritional needs, this mare looks and moves beautifully. She has been a fun addition to our riding and education program, sharing how to handle a bit of an advanced level ride while at the same time teaching what quiet ground manners look like.

Shelby suffers from uveitis, a chronic infection of her eyes, so requires a special UV mask and daily herbal treatments.
