CY
This big beautiful boy is a 16.1hh bay gelding who has shown us the true after effects of what human cruelty looks like.
Rescued in 2015, Cy was brought to Zuma’s as part of our Brush 23 operation, pulling 23 horses from a less-than-savory situation in Brush, CO. Cy immediately showed signs of severe abuse by human hands when his trauma came out in his every attempt to flee any situation involving being handled, touched, or even when eye contact was made.
A gentle, kind volunteer Angie sensed something brewing between them, and spent years working to gain his trust and admiration.
In June 2021, Angie officially adopted this gentle soul, and together they continue to work on his fears of the farrier, and spend time working on ground driving and liberty tricks.
