Get Involved in our Programs
Horseback Riding And Horse Showing
We have a comprehensive equine education program for both English and Western riding. In our program, not all lessons are mounted; we feel riders benefit from learning all about the horses they love from the ground up to the saddle. We teach anatomy, physiology, nutrition, wound care, and lameness identification. We also have wellness programs for horses including herbal remedies, massage therapy techniques, craniosacral therapies, rehabilitation and more.
We are home to VDM Sport Horses, professional show jumping trainers from Wellington, Florida with a life time of riding, training and showing. Come join the Show Team at VDM Sport Horses right here at Zuma’s Rescue Ranch.
Lessons start at $30 for tiny tots, $55 for group instruction, and $75 for private lessons and $85 per hour for show horses
Equine Assisted Learning
Suffer from depression, anxiety, emotional instability, etc.? These are all your mind’s way of telling you life is out of balance. Our clinician, Mica Graves, can assist you in identifying the challenges you face and help you develop skills to improve your mental wellbeing. We offer life skills coaching, group therapy programs, private therapy sessions, and corporate team building opportunities. Sessions start at $40 per person for group and $120 for private session.
Heel the Heroes
Lyndon and his team are providing well trained service dogs to veterans in need. Lyndon is an animal behaviorist and a veteran of the US Marines Corps. In addition to the service dog training Lyndon is facilitating job skills training for veterans in the canine and equine massage therapy certifications through Rocky Mountain School of Animals Acupressure and Massage.
The time it takes to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide care for a herd of 40+ horses is staggering (to say the least). We rely on our daily herd of volunteers to make things possible here at Zuma’s. Please consider committing a morning or evening a week for 2 hours to come help us get things done. We accept corporate volunteer groups up to 20 people, community service seekers, school groups, activity groups etc. There is no reason to RSVP, just arrive at 12:00 on the first or third Sunday of each month and meet in Boomer’s Room, ages 7 and up are welcome, kids 16 an up are welcome without parents. Fill out the Volunteer Application HERE or download application HERE!
Save time before your first visit to Zuma’s. Print and fill out (adults/guardians) a LIABILITY RELEASE (including the name of all participants visiting Zuma’s) and bring it with you.

JOin our Board
Do you have a knack for organization and leadership? Are you well connected in the Metro Denver area? Do you love horses and children? Do you have skills that would benefit a non-profit such as; web design, graphic artist, event planner, musician, therapist, horse trainer, etc.? You might be just the perfect fit for our Board of Directors.
BEcome a Partner in the Facility
Zuma’s is looking for angel funding or fiscal partners in our real estate holdings. If you have been blessed financially and want to donate a large sum of money into our operations, we can discuss the tax benefits with you. If you are looking for a way to be part of a non-profit but not sure how to go about it, why not buy into our real estate holdings and become a partner in the 501c3 operations?!
Donations of goods we use every day lighted the fiscal burden.
Zuma’s day-to-day consumables add up to huge expenses. If you want to help us offset those costs by bringing in things we use daily, please do! Drop off donations in the entry by the office with a note as to who they are from. Things you can pick up for us; muck buckets, muck forks, small feed tubs, coffee, napkins, toilet tissue, dish soap, laundry detergent, light bulbs, printer paper, etc. Thanks in advance!
Send us your digital photos
We are always looking for great photos for our website, Facebook, and other social media posts. If you have a great eye for beauty, please share your images with us.
Connect us with Your Work Place
Did you know that many employers match employee donations to non-profits, or pay employees to volunteer at a non-profit? Ask your employer if they have a corporate volunteer or donation program. Double your giving with matching corporate dollars!
Sponsor Our Events
Zuma’s hosts a few events a year to bring awareness of our programs as well as raise funds to provide the life saving services we offer. Charity Golf and Christmas Tea are our two main events each year. We look to our community partners to sponsor these events. Sponsorship places you and/or your company in front of our 11,000 social media followers as well as the mixed demographic of event attendees. Event sponsorship is a great way to show your support while growing your network at the same time.
